For bioinformatics graduate students
Project: Functional annotation of the nuclear genome from a divergent micro-eukaryote
Prerequisits:
- Understanding the diversity of genome architecture, gene structure, biochemical pathways, and biological processes
- Experience with genome annotation tools
- Good mastery of python programming
Period: January-August (or longer)
For biochemistry/molecular-biology graduate students
Project: Subcellular localization of proteins with predicted RNA-binding domains
Prerequisits:
- Theoretical background in gene expression and basic cellular processes
- Practical expertise in techniques for nucleic acid and protein analysis
Period: January-August (or longer)
For undergraduate students
Participation in ongoing projects.
