Gertraud Burger | open positions
Graduate student position: MSc in bioinformatics
A position will be available to predict RNA-binding proteins and infer their biological function.
The system of choice is an organism with most diverse post-transcriptional processes in the nucleus and in mitochondria: the micro-eukaryote Diplonema.
The set of proteins to be screened is the genome-inferred proteome. Function assignment will
be based on guilt by association of an RNA-binding protein with interaction partners in (ribonucleo)protein complexes. Predicted candidates will be validated experimentally.

research program is available.
