Korotnevella (also known as Dactylamoeba):
one or two layers of submicroscopic, ornate, organic scales covering the cell body; free-living; marine and freshwater species.

Mayorella:
cuticle composed (most probably) of fused scales on the cell body; free-living; freshwater and marine species.

Pseudoparamoeba:
truncate, dome-shaped hexagonal glycostyles covering the cell body; free-living; one marine species.

Vexillifera:
elongate hexagonal glycostyles covering the cell body; free-living; freshwater and marine species.
