F/2 medium for many marine protists

To 1l of autoclaved sea water add: 

NaNO3*         (75.0 g/l)                    1.0 ml
NaH2PO4*       ( 5.0 g/l)                    1.0 ml
F/2 trace elements*                          1.0 ml
F/2 vitamins*  (steril-filtered)             0.5 ml


F/2 trace elements (steril-filtered):

     Na2EDTA*       (4.36 g/l)
     FeCL3x6H2O*    (3.15 g/l)
1ml of CuSO4x5H2O*  (0.98 g/100ml)
1ml of ZnSO4x7H2O*  (2.20 g/100ml)
1ml of CoCl2x6H2O*  (1.0  g/100ml)
1ml of MnCl2x4H2O*  (1.80 g/100ml)
1ml of NaMoO4x2H20* (0.63 g/100ml)


F/2 vitamins (steril-filtered):
     biotin*        (0.1 mg/100ml)
     B12*           (0.1 mg/100ml)
     thiamine HCL*  (20  mg/100ml)
In order to obtain high cell yields, buffering with HEPES is strongly recommended.

HEPES buffer: stock of 1M, adjusted to pH 7.5, end concentration in medium should be about 10-20 mM.
