Post-doctoral position in bioinformatics
A post-doctoral position is available (of three to five-years) to analyze and integrate large-scale datasets from genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and RNA catalysis that are generated in our molecular biology lab. The goal is to understand the post-transcriptional steps of gene expression and in particular the structure, function and evolution of cellular machineries involved in RNA editing and trans-splicing (Marande & Burger 2007, Science 318:415). This research project, funded by the Canadian Institute for Health Research (CIHR), offers opportunities to collaborate with bioinformatics and genomics researchers not only of the group, but also of the Robert-Cedergren Centre.
More details about this and other
projects in the lab are available.
