Current and Recent Interests

Goal: To develop bioinformatic tools for analysis of complex genomic problems

Area of Interest: Complex repetition

– from tandem repeats to contiguous and non-contiguous, direct and inverted recurrences

Area of Interest: Novel feature identification

– finding and characterizing previously unknown features in genomic sequences with emphasis on novelty and biological relevance
